I wrote a 12 page epilogue to my 2019 comic "Harry Potter and The Problematic Author" because I found, in 2023, that I had more to say. You can also find this comic on my website, and I have PDF copies available on etsy. I may sell print copies at some point in the future.

THE ONE THING THE LOCKED TOMB FANDOM GOT WRONG (in my humble opinion)

everyone is always saying how my girl Gideon is doomed by the narrative, but, guys, the narrative adores her

she had so many moments where she could have died, starting right at her birth, she survived the spaceship crash, she survived the gas at the nursery, even her fucking sperm was still kicking when it was not supposed to. but these were all instances where she was saved by her divine nature, idem for the avulsion room.

other times was because of mere chance (the spaceship she didn't get on) or because someone spared her (Cytherea), you get where i'm going? all these moments where she almost met her end, she never really fought to escape death, it kind of just happen.

even when she actively chose to die, the universe Harrow refused to let her. she decided to die, and she couldn't even do that. SHE IS LITERALLY BLESSED BY THE NARRATIVE, which can be considered as bad, if not worse, but i digress.

but Harrow?

Harrow whom challenged death every time she pushed her limits, who almost died in a bone cocoon in a basement. Harrow who was almost murdered in her own ospital bed as soon as she committed the greatest sin of her life. Harrow who was almost murdered by the saint of duty like 15 times, Harrow, whom God himself asked to kill. Harrow who was gently taught how to tie the knot by her parents. and how easier would have been to have died then? how easier it would have been to follow Abigail in the river?

Harrow who was already a walking corpse for every single one of her brothers and siaters in the Mitraeum, who wasn't supposed to survive the night. who was almost posessed, who was almost murdered with her own sword, Harrow who is already 200 dead children in a trenchcoat.

Harrow who fought every time with her teeth and nails (literally) to stay alive, who made possible the impossible to save herself, Harrow who refused to die.

all i'm saying is, for how many times Gideon grazed death she always found herself alive because of things outside of her control, as of now is literally impossible for her to die because God decided to have her reborn as his indestructible weapon.

Harrow is the doomed one. Harrow who's fucking lineage of tombkeepers wasn't even suppose to be born. Harrow who's house wasn't supposed to exist. Harrow who's doomed by the narrative, but refuses to give up till she got breath in her lungs. Harrow who yet again says fuck the narrative, i will stay alive for my House, and my Love, and for Her.

“In February, the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) put out a survey showing that white evangelicals in the U.S. are defined more by the “white” part than any coherent faith tradition. More than two-thirds of white evangelicals signed off on the concept of Christian nationalism, which is a belief, as PRRI president Robert Jones explained, “that America is destined to be a promised land for European Christians.” “Christian,” then, is less about a set of religious beliefs and more an ethnic, tribalistic marker. This is why the vast majority of white evangelicals reject a very basic teaching of Jesus: “I was the stranger and you welcomed me.” More than 90% of white evangelicals, for instance, want to make it much harder for people to immigrate to the U.S. Most Christian nationalists also believe immigrants are “invading our country and replacing our cultural and ethnic background” and want restrictions on immigration meant to exclude people of a different race or ethnic background than themselves. Unsurprisingly, Christian nationalists tend to be very sexist, with 7 out of 10 agreeing that a woman should “submit” to her husband. Race and gender matter a lot to Christian nationalists. What doesn’t matter so much, however, is God. About 40% of self-proclaimed “evangelicals” go to church once a year or less.”

Social Security is a personal savings account you pay into every paycheck to ensure you are not destitute in your golden years.

Any political attack on social security is an attack on your well-being. The well-being of your family. The well-being of people who have one plan to live out their lives: social security.

You can't replace a plan for millions with cuts.

You must fund the plan as it was designed.

You have full control over one major decision in the Stranger Things 5 writing room, and can use it to make a ship canon/endgame, make a couple break up, canonize a headcanon, revive a character, or anything else that you wish. However, as a price you must kill off one of the following characters in the final season.

Who is dying?

maybe this has been suggested before but I think it'd be fun if 'dirtyhands', as it was, was eventually added as a character to the komedie brute... since it was so useful to them and given how much kaz secretly loves theatricality and playing parts, and since he's become such a part of ketterdam like. folklore ig asjsks. if kaz was still alive at that point he'd probs pretend to hate it but secretly be super smug about it lmao

So, fun fact, when you hit your bones harder than they're supposed to get hit but not quite hard enough for a real break, they develop tiny microfractures, which make them sore and weak for a while, but then if you let them heal properly the parts that used to be teeny tiny cracks grow back denser and harder. Kind of like how when you exercise, you tear up muscle fibres and then you grow back more of them.

There's lots of things in your body that are like that, because evolution works more towards efficiency than peak performance so the 'default' state is soft and slow and weak because that doesn't require as much food to maintain, but if you live the kind of life where you need to be able to lift heavy loads or run for hours on end or sometimes fight a tiger with a pointy stick then evolution is willing to let you burn more energy and nutrients in order to make that happen.

These Shaolin motherfuckers, they spend years just... hitting things. Over and over. Like, they start out punching sand, or padded wood or something, then they work up to bare wood, then stone and metal, over the course of literal years of just waking up and punching things every day. And that doesn't just make them strong, the way lifting weights or whatever would, it makes their bones ridiculously dense. Like, just carrying around their skeletons is wasting energy from an evolutionary standpoint, making them need more food than normal people just to walk around. But because their bones are ridiculously dense, because they've been almost shattered enough times, over and over for fucking years, they can hit things that would absolutely shatter the bones of any vaguely normal mammal, and make the rock break first.

Note that this is a carefully balanced process that they've figured out over like, thousands of years of trial and error. If you push too hard and actually break your bones, that generally leaves them weaker than they started, not stronger, so don't take this as advice to immediately start beating your head against a brick.
